Sweeneys Saloon is the place to be this Thanksgiving Eve, Tuesday November 27th! The biggest party night of the year with everyone’s favorite band, KIRKO! The Coors Lite Girls will be there too; giving away lots of promos and prizes. From 9-11pm you can get $2.75 domestic bottles and 104.5 Radio Station is giving away two pairs of tickets to the Gaslight Anthem concert!  Looking forward to this night for sure! Gonna be a big crowd, no work the next day & we can all party as much as we want!  There is plenty of free parking in their lot and in the Septa train station lot adjacent to the bar. Sweeneys is keeping with the tradition of staying open for Thanksgiving Day offering everyone a place that people have come to love!

Sweeneys Saloon is recognized as a place where you can see live music 5 days a week, watch your favorite sports teams play, play pool or darts, have some great food and relax with your favorite drink.  Family owned and operated and still going strong coming up on 28 successful years!  They own two bars the one on Bustleton and Philmont Ave and the smaller bar on Rhawn Street and Verree Road, which is ran by the Patriarch of the family. The Sweeneys family must be doing something right; especially in this economy. Many area businesses have closed or have changed hands over and over. I spoke with Christian Sweeney; he believes that making their customers happy is the most important.
Friendly service, solid entertainment, and offering great food and drinks at reasonable prices will keep people coming back for more!

Music lovers and musicians as well have seen many of the area’s bars and clubs cut their live music down or stopped it all together. At Sweeneys you get some of the best local bands as well as many well known tribute acts as well. Every Sunday you can catch local favorites Fish Out of Water, Brian Bortnick (Octane) Acoustic on Tuesdays, Quizzo on Wednesdays, Generation Next every Thursday night, Friday and Saturday nights you will find your favorite tribute and cover bands playing on their stage with state of the art sound and lights!

Sweeneys Saloon has a full kitchen (10am until midnite) and offers lunch and dinner specials every day of the week! Next time you’re there try their Build Your Own Flame Broiled Burger or their Texas Torpedo-so yummy. There are many selections-all at great prices and you can either order in or carry it out!  Order your favorite drink and make sure you check out their daily drink specials too. And of course-everything is served with a big smile by their friendly staff!
