OOT_3317.inddYes, it’s true, in 2012, the Roadhouse Inn has thrown out the old and is now in with the NEW! From Sunday Nite to Saturday Nite-its non-stop fun for everyone. The manager, Mike, shared that one of the reasons that the Roadhouse appeals to so many is because of the friendliness of their crew, who work together on bringing fresh ideas to their part of town, at 2200 New Falls Road, in Newportville, PA.
There is NEVER a COVER at the Roadhouse and now they are bringing great specials to you too! Like their 5 for $5 buckets of Bud, Bud Lite, Bud Lite Lime, or Miller Lite all day and nite, Monday thru Friday! Every Thursday you can also get Jager Bombs for just $3.50! And during the Flyers even more drink specials for you!
The Roadhouse has plenty of great food specials too!  With their new cook, Craig, plenty of people are getting full bellies with his re-invented menu. Starting with daily lunch specials from $3.99 and dinner specials too. From Pub Grub to Full Dinner Entrees like their New York Strip Steak Dinner, including baked potato and salad. And on Saturday night you can get it for $9.95 and eat like a king or queen within your budget too. On Mondays get 1/2 off appetizers and 35 cent wings. Tuesdays get the Cheeseburger and Chips Deal for $3.50. Wednesday nights are “All You Can Eat Wings” for just $6.95. Thursdays for the winter season, “All You Can Eat Mussels” for just $8.95. on Friday try the Fried Flounder for $3.95. Oh and you have got to try their new Onion Loaf (Blooming Onions in the shape of a loaf of bread) and their pizza is a must try too! And best of all the kitchen is open daily from 11am until 10pm on weekdays and until 12 midnite on the weekends!
The Roadhouse keeps it going with some of the best entertainment around. Starting Sunday night with DJ John Mariakis, spinning “hard hitting” rock and roll music that is drawing some of the biggest crowds in the region! You can also play pool for free all day long. Every Monday is World Tavern Poker starting at 7pm. Tuesday nite is Quizzo with Annie Says! Thursday nite is Open Mic nite with Kirk and Angry Vic! And if you are a new band and you want to get booked at the Roadhouse, make sure you sign up-audition live! Or if you just want to be a star for the nite you have to get to this open mic-it is one of the best around! Friday nights the DJ spins all your favorite dance stuff and Saturday night live bands get the place jumping up on the dance floor, playing Classic Rock to Top 40 Rock and Roll! Speaking of rock and roll….Angry Vic will be bringing their brand of 80’s music for their annual Pajama Party! DJ of the Month – January 2012

DJ_ZOAnthony Franzzo, a.k.a. DJ ZO, of In The Mix Entertainment, is the new in-demand DJ for 2012. Even though he’s only been DJing for 3 years, his impeccable music knowledge, style and ability to draw in a crowd have quickly allowed him to explode into the entertainment scene in this area. His resume includes hosting karaoke and quizzo nights and DJing dance parties at places such as Big Heads Willow Grove, PJ Whelihan’s Pub in Blue Bell, Buckhead Saloon, Tavern on Broad and Penny Gardens in Philadelphia, as well as many Sweet 16 and birthday parties, school dances and block parties. His current weekly spots are Thursdays at Big Heads Bensalem and Fridays at Big Heads Richboro Pub. His striking resemblance to a certain Italian DJ yields shouts of “Yo DJ Pauly D” whenever he works the ones and twos at a new venue. According to Zo, “There is nothing better for me than controlling a room with my music. It’s a high for me to, not only feed off of the energy of the crowd, but to create that energy with my mixes. I won’t settle until every person in the room is on his or her feet having a great time.” When he is not DJing, sports take over. He plays and coaches football and baseball, and he loves watching his favorite Philadelphia teams – Phillies, Flyers, Sixers and Eagles. To book an event with DJ ZO, please email anthonyfranzzo@aol.com, call the In The Mix office at 215-245-4700, or check out the website at www.ITMentertainment.com.

…is What you will Find under the direction of Chef Tom Seacrest.

By Mike Vagnoni
buffalo_wings_1Getting great food when going out is kind of important to all us. Most of you out there know me from promoting and doing the advertising  for many area bands and clubs, restaurants & bars.  Well for this issue, I have to talk this next item  up for my good friend and Chef Mr.Tom Seacrest. Tom is now running the kitchen full time at Squirrel Murphy’s located at  872 East Street Road in Warminster Pa….Tom and I go back many years and he’s from Doylestown Pa., and as of November 1st he is now the resident Chef at Squirrel Murphy’s . He has made many changes on the food that is offered.. He asked for me to stop on by and check it out.  Well here is some things that I would like to share with you about the new food lineups.
Squirrel Murphy’s is an Irish Bar and features many favorites that you will see in many bars but now they can boast that Chef Tom Seacrest brings to the table a unique style of home made items. The portions are a good size and the quality of  is top end.  For starters in the Appetizers Department…you will find  home made soups. Here Tom’s comes up with his soup of the day for $4. Starters make the bar experience fun and you will see many items from jumbo Chicken wings. Here you will find jumbo fresh wings that are deep fried to perfection and you can pick from mild, hot or barbecued or suicide. They are served with blue cheese and celery at $7.50.   On Mondays you can taste Tom’s wings from 8 to 10pm ” FREE .WINGS” yes, this is true and each order is made to your order. Mondays there is a big crowd in the house and them wings are flowing .Had to throw that in …other items you will find are: Chicken Tenders $7, Supreme Nachos are always a treat and the Squirrel Murphy’s style is a large portion of chips that are smothered in chili and cheddar cheese along with jalapenos and served with a great tasty salsa sauce and sour cream $8.50  This is big, real big and one I would suggest to try. Other goodies are Mozzarllea Sticks, Pizza Fries, Cheese Fries, Beef Chilli and Garlic Bread with a tasty marinara sauce.   From the Grill with tasty sandwiches. Squirrel Murphy’s makes them big, like a Grilled Cheese made with a thick Texas toast and layered with american cheese $5.50. They also offer Steaks sandwiches and Burgers. The  prices range from  $6.50 to $8.50  and again, Tom put’s his tender love into each food item and this only adds to a better tasting order.
The Kitchen hours are from:  Monday thru Friday from 12pm to 10pm. Saturdays from 5pm to 10pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 5pm.  Open for Lunch, Dinner specials are daily.  Catering is available for your next event and now thru the end January they offer a 10% special off if you should book now.  They also offer take service and you can call 215-942-4550… Great Food at Great Prices along with fine catering…this is what you will find with your next visit to Squirrel Murphy’ and the man in control of the kitchen, Tom wants you to see all that he has cooking for you. So, stop by and check it out – and be sure and come hungry because the portions are big!
