ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, July 6, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ — The unique “sound of Sinatra” is something that singers the world over have yearned to master during the past 5 decades. 19 year old Brandon Tomasello doesn’t claim to be the next “Sinatra”, but he emulates his idol in every way and no matter which way you look at it…this kid has Talent! From that fateful day that Tomasello came home for dinner and heard the sounds of Ol’ Blue Eyes resonating throughout his grandmother’s house..he was hooked. A 2006 graduate of the Performing Arts Charter school in Phila. Tomasello decided to pursue the sounds of Sinatra on his own and develop his own style and delivery to go with his
multi faceted voice.

Another graduate of the Charter school, Stephen Garbesi would provide the missing piece of the puzzle in Brandon’s quest to become the best and become not just a great Sinatra..a great performer. It would be Garbesi who would take Tomasello into the studio and help to hone his skills. Where Tomasello is intense in an amiable, carefree way..Garbesi is intense in the true sense of the word. Garbesi is a no nonsense,20 year old who knows what he wants for himself and his friend and will not let anything..or anyone stand in the way of their success.

Both Tomasello and Garbesi feel they can sum up their lives in one word “Entertainment”
They jointly own FIMA Productions, an entertainment company FIMA Productions was founded by Tomasello and Garbesi in September of 2009 and specializes in Film, Photography, Music and Web design. Check out some of their work at

Tomasello is currently in the studio and putting together his own band..complete with some of Sinatra’s original charts. The buzz on Brandon Tomasello right now is at a high level, but not enough to phase the 19 year old. Both Tomasello and Garbesi are wise and mature beyond their years and both seemed destined to do great things.

think_pink_promo_3If you are a fan of the music from the 70’s on up through the 90’s like me, one band that is surely on your list of favorites is Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd actually formed in the mid 60’s and became well-known for their progressive compositions, bizarre lyrics and musical experimentation. Selling more than 73 million albums in the US alone, this is a band whose music is timeless.

The music of Pink Floyd can now be enjoyed once again, in a live “experience”, thanks to local Philly and National touring tribute act, Think Pink Floyd. For the last 4 years, Think Pink Floyd has been mesmerizing crowds of people all over with their fantastic sound, light and video show. They play all the favorite Pink Floyd hits that everyone knows and loves, showcasing entire albums from start to finish. The band demonstrates remarkable musicianship on stage and gives their audience a spectacular production whenever they perform.

Think Pink Floyd has built up an enormous repertoire playing to four hours of vintage Floyd material that will just blow your mind. They have all their bases covered too, by including music from the young Pink Floyd days in 1967 on up through the mid 90’s. Think Pink Floyd brings back the music of such albums as “Meddle”, “Dark Side Of The Moon”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Animals”, “The Wall”, “A Momentary Lapse Of Reason” and “The Division Bell” and they create a mood that every Pink Floyd lover will enjoy.

If you have been to a Think Pink Floyd show, you know the time and dedication it takes to pull off such a quality performance. If you have not, you really should take the time to get out and see them. Coming in August, you will have the opportunity to see Think Pink live and in person, among several other Tribute acts at the Tribute Palooza! On Saturday, 8/6 at The Ukie Club located at 847 North Franklin Street in Philadelphia, you can catch this act, as well as several other well-known Tribute bands from the area in a family friendly environment! From 1 pm – 10 pm Tribute Palooza will feature, Swan Song (Led Zeppelin Tribute), Romeo Delight (Van Halen Tribute), Kick It Out (Heart Tribute), Light My Fire (Doors Tribute) and my good friend AJ Slick with his Steve Ray Vaughan Tribute, Soul To Soul! Tickets are just $20 per person which includes food and music all day long! There will also be vendors, crafts and activities for the kids, so make sure to write it down on your calendar now so that you don’t forget. This is a show you are not going to want to miss! For more info, please contact the Ukie Club’s website at Tickets will be on advanced sale soon!

The music of Pink Floyd was magical and Think Pink Floyd brings back the psychedelic sound of an extremely unique band. Quite frankly, no one can play the music of Pink Floyd like Think Pink Floyd ‘s Lead Guitarist, Syd Sholly. His thoughtful playing and extreme musicianship is a site for the eyes and a feast for the ears – all replenishing the need in the soul to hear the music of one of the most beloved bands in the world. The entire band comes together for one hell of an experience that you need to see and feel.

Think Pink is: Bill – Guitar and Vocals; Syd – Lead Guitar and Vocals; Timmy – Bass and Vocals, Chie – Keys and Vocals and Roy – Drums and Vocals. You can catch Think Pink Floyd at many locations throughout the area, including every other month or so at one of The Out On The Town’s favorite spots, Sweeney’s Saloon located at 13639 Philmont Ave in Philly. Sweeney’s is a huge supporter of local tribute acts and a great place to see live music any time! To Think Pink Floyd’s full schedule and learn more about the band, please visit their website at

pasianopic1Growing up with an Italian background has allowed me many fond memories to look back on. Lots of family, friends, good times and the food! Nothing says home more to me, than a Sunday afternoon filled with the aroma of a pot of delicious gravy and meatballs simmering on the stove for hours. That’s right – I called it GRAVY! Lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti – use whatever pasta you want, but the star of the dish is always the gravy! Fresh, flavorful Italian cooking – there’s just nothing like it.

There were a few years there when I wouldn’t even bother to go out for Italian food. In my eyes, NO ONE made gravy like my mom (well, other than my Grandmother, of course!). Over the years however, I have come to realize there are some great places out there where you can enjoy authentic Italian dishes and one of them is Pasiano’s! Pasiano’s is a wonderful BYOB located at 7100 Tulip Street at the corner of Princeton and Tulip in NE Philadelphia.

Last night, my guest and I enjoyed an incredible dinner at Pasiano’s. I met with owner/proprietor John Byrne and thought, “Hmm an Irish guy running an Italian restaurant, this should be interesting,” and it truly was! You can’t miss the building as you ride down Princeton Ave – its stucco front with classic awnings and balcony on the side really make the building stand out. You can just tell that once you walk through the door, you are going to be part of something special. As you walk in, immediately you feel the warmth of Old World Italy. There are lovely murals painted on the walls, linen tablecloths and beautiful accent pieces that give the room a comfortable elegance, all its own. The music of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Tony Bennett and many others fill the room with just enough background sound to help you relax and get ready for some delicious food.

John and his brother Tom treated us like royalty. They already had a table set up for us and made menu suggestions so that we didn’t even have to choose from the wide variety of dishes they serve. Pasiano’s is a BYOB and since I was working, I didn’t bother to bring any wine to drink with dinner, so Tom was gracious enough to pour a glass from their own stock. Great service and attention to detail is something Pasiano’s is becoming known for, in addition to great food. They made us feel so comfortable and welcome while still paying attention to all of their other guests. As I looked through the menu, I could see this was not the ordinary Italian restaurant, serving the ordinary dishes you see everywhere. They offer everything from Salads and Pasta to Seafood, Steaks and Chops and the prices are extremely reasonable. The appetizers range in price from $6 to $12 and the entrees run anywhere from $10 to $28. The portions are quite generous too. We started off with some appetizers which included the Lobster Macaroni & Cheese, Crab Bruschetta and a Caprese Salad. Let me start by saying everything was absolutely delicious! I have never had Lobster Macaroni & Cheese in my life, and this dish was truly a winner. Made with home-made Orrecchiette pasta, big chunks of lobster meat, Pecorino Romano cheese and just enough Jalapeno peppers to give it a slight bite, this dish was more like an entree that would please just about anyone. The Crab Bruschetta was equally delicious with a creamy crab spread topping fresh toasted bread with a delightful basil pesto. The Caprese salad was so fresh with ruby red tomatoes and creamy whole mozzarella cheese drizzled with olive oil and their own balsamic reduction that just melted in your mouth. The pasta course was Gnocchi with a fresh Tomato and Basil sauce and Penne Vodka. Both were absolutely delicious. By the time the meat course was served, I was already full, but they brought out 3 dishes that looked so incredible, of course I had to indulge! Chicken Puttanesca, Veal Anthony and Pasiano’s famous Broiled Crab Cake with Champagne sauce were all equally divine. The Puttanesca sauce on the chicken absolutely popped from the freshness of the tomatoes, olives and capers. The veal was topped with fresh asparagus and huge meaty shrimp that were like a meal of their own! The Crab Cake (Ohhhh the Crab Cake!)…it was loaded with what seemed to be nothing but crab and seasoning. In fact, I don’t think I have ever had a crab cake with so much crab in it. It was sweet and flavorful and absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared a piece of Lemoncello Cheesecake that was creamy and completely decadent! It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
As I sat and talked with the Byrne boys, I learned that Pasiano’s all came about after John was sitting at a light on Princeton Ave. He saw the vacant building and thought it would make a great place for a BYOB. The Byrne’s grew up in the neighborhood and even went to school at Our Lady of Constellations, which is right across the street. John spoke to the owner of the building and they worked out a deal. After they made all the renovations to make Pasiano’s the beautiful place that it is today, the surrounding neighborhood was very pleased with the result. Pasiano’s brings an elegance and family-friendly location to the neighborhood, without having to concern residents with the thought of another bar on the corner. Families, friends, civic groups, clubs, businessmen and women can enjoy all that Pasiano’s has to offer, which even includes a private banquet room upstairs for parties, showers and meetings. The banquet room is the perfect spot for any function, comfortably seating up to 50 people. It’s completely separate from the rest of the building giving guests an elegant and private setting away from people dining in the main part of the building. It’s even got its own lovely balcony, bar and private restroom to add even more functionality to the room. Private parties can be planned as a buffet or sit down dinner and John will work with you to personalize a menu that will truly “WOW” your guests!

Everything about Pasiano’s is wonderful. All of the food is fresh and home- made by Chef Oscar, who lived in Rome for much of his life. All of the ingredients used in their dishes are bought locally and this is something that John stressed. “We only buy fresh, local ingredients. I spend most of my day buying only the best for our customers. It’s a labor of love and my customers deserve it.” Pasiano’s is a place that creates memories for people. Its Tuscan warmth is the perfect setting for family dinners with a nice bottle of wine, talking and laughing in to the night. You will surely enjoy your experience at Pasiano’s and I highly recommend you try it as soon as possible. This is a place that will make you feel as though you are visiting one of the nice restaurants you would see downtown on a special occasion, yet its right here in NE Philly. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise!

Reservations are recommended for Pasiano’s on the weekends by calling 215-338-1700, especially if you plan on dining between the regular dinner hours of 5 – 7 pm. They will be closed the first week of August for vacation and they are also closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. There is reserved parking right in front of the building and its easy access to all points since it is so close to I-95. To view the menu and to learn more about Pasiano’s, please visit Mangiare!

Don’t make any plans for Sat July 30th; it’s been twelve yrs since the last Teddy Dugan’s Summerfest held at the Levittown Moose, well it’s back with a new location and a reunion of rock legends… of the tri-state area.
The all star line up, so far, featuring, David Uosikkinen (Drummer of the Hooters) with his own band (In The Pocket), with a revolving line up of Tommy Conwell, members of the Hooters, and David has promised a monster lead guitarist.
We also have Diamond Dogs, the best David Bowie Tribute band on the eastern seaboard, fronted by the one and only Georgie Rumbol, from the Dead End Kids.
Skeleton Crew, a Van Halen Tribute band.
Keith and EJ Johnson from the legendary construction will be there. I say legendary because, I know of no other cover band that held down lady’s night every Tuesday for 9 consecutive yrs. Those yrs eventually paid off when they had two hits on the radio.
Another band that hasn’t stopped rocking the club circuit all these yrs, although there’s been a lot of additions and subtractions, but either way, it always adds up to the one, the only Seven Band. CJ O’ Neil will also be sharing the stage with an all-star line of local musicians that he has played with over the yrs.
As we all know it just wouldn’t be summerfest without a visit from our men in blue to ask us to turn it down, what better to guarantee that special visit will happen then the hard rock of WarPath.
How’s this for a blast from the past? Timmy Turner, along with other original members, of Hattrick will be doing a one-time reunion.
To keep you dancing between sets there will be two rocking DJ’s. You know them, Bob Settelen and Brian Potts .
Must be 21 to enter. No coolers, no bottles, . Please car pool to make parking easier.
Sorry kids this one is just for the Adults. So parents find a babysitter now and come meet up with old friends. Bring your lawn chairs, umbrellas, and blankets, pick a spot, and have a good time.
A donation of $40.00 in advance $45.00 at door helps to benefit red cross and Newportville Fire Co. It also includes the many amazing rock legends that will be there, food, and beerFor more info call Teddy..215-946-1626 or Kelly…267-391-8626
